Step 1: Rough up the plastic rainbarrel with a sanding block for better paint adhesion. Wipe off any sanding dust with a lint-free cloth.
Step 2: Using Universal Bonding Primer spray, prime the entire rainbarrel with slow, back-and-forth motions, slightly overlapping each coat for even layers. If a second coat is needed, apply after 30 minutes of dry time.
Step 3: Once primer has dried for at least 30 minutes, apply 2X Ultra Cover in Matte Burlap. Apply the spray paint the same way as the primer. Let dry for at least 1 hour before applying painter's tape.
Step 4: Tape any areas of the rainbarrel you don't want to paint next, and apply the 2X Ultra Cover in Espresso Brown to create a striped design. Let dry for at least 1 hour.
Step 5: Remove tape and let dry for at least 24 hours before use.
